Starting point
COLANDIS makes fan filter units and other cleanroom technology. ConnectedAir was to let customers control and monitor their installations remotely, with fewer failures and fewer service call-outs.
What NXTGN developed
NXTGN developed the entire technology, including the fan filter unit controller, the sensors, a connected signal light, the firmware, the platform and the web portal.
ConnectedAir in the cleanroom
The units control the fans and measure filter condition, airflow, temperature and humidity. From the pressure drop across the filter, the system calculates when a filter needs replacing. In the web portal, customers configure their installation, analyse data and receive alerts. Roles and an audit trail make access traceable.
The room box
The room box monitors the room independently of the installation. It measures temperature, humidity and dew point, and optionally differential pressure and particles. COLANDIS also offers it for rent. NXTGN offers the same room box as its own product.
Result and operations
ConnectedAir has been in production for more than five years, including at large industrial customers of COLANDIS. NXTGN continues to look after the devices and the platform.
The NXTGN room box
Sensors for pressure, climate and particles connect directly to the room box, which sends the readings to the platform.
